gpac has partnered with a company to find their next skilled CNC Machinist with lathe operation experience and programming to join their team. If you're a hands-on professional with a keen eye for precision, here's what the role entails: Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring accuracy in machining according to specifications. Write and edit programs manually, as well as program new jobs using CAM software. Set up and operate CNC Mills (HAAS V-8/50 vertical) and CNC Lathes, maintaining strict tolerances within .0005 plus or minus. Plan machine operations, considering work orders, materials, and production goals. Conduct QA on the first part and periodically during the run, using precision measuring instruments. Implement and maintain 5S techniques. Requirements: Minimum 1 years of CNC machining and engineering experience. Knowledge of setting up and running a cell environment is a plus. Welding experience is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of tool offsets, speeds, and feeds for cutting various materials. Proficiency in programming, problem-solving, and Microsoft Excel. Mechanical aptitude, metallurgy knowledge, and familiarity with geometry and Basic Trig. Effective time management skills and ability to estimate time and materials for machine jobs. Leadership and organizational skills to meet daily workflow demands. Hardworking and reliable.
