Look no further! The CMM Programmer will be responsible for developing and maintaining programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) used in the quality control process. This role will involve working closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that manufactured products meet specified quality standards.
K ey Responsibilities: Develop CMM programs for the measurement of parts and components. Utilize CMM software and equipment to create accurate and efficient measurement routines. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create measurement programs. Continuously refine and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with engineers and production teams to incorporate design changes into existing programs. Quality Control: Perform detailed inspections of parts using CMM equipment to verify conformance to specifications. Document and report any deviations from established quality standards. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurements. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or issues for prompt resolution. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze measurement data and generate reports to communicate results to relevant stakeholders. Identify trends or patterns in measurement data and collaborate with engineering teams for process improvement. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address any quality-related concerns or issues. Provide technical support and expertise related to CMM programming and measurement. Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of CMM programs, measurement data, and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and documentation requirements. Qualifications :
Proven experience in CMM programming and operation. Proficiency in CMM software and CAD software Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and metrology principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Achieve the requirements & responsibilities by: Initiating new, creative ideas. Having a willingness to be flexible - adapting to new paths Strong problem solving / troubleshooting practices. Able to manage multiple projects. Being a team player and working cross-functionally. Managing resources and relationships - internally and externally. Consistently evaluating processes, automate, recommending changes when appropriate.
