Intel's Dev Cloud team is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer! Knowledge and experience in large data center networks, ethernet switch management and model-driven automation is required with an emphasis on high performance networks for multi-tenant environments.
The candidate will engage development of proof of concept, reference, and production network topologies of fabrics for a variety of cloud use cases. The willingness to work in a cross-functional environment is required to succeed in this complex execution environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, with a broad, system-level understanding of data center systems, networking, and a proven ability to execute complex programs. Experience in the design of cloud network subsystems and management is required.
Responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
+ Determination and deployment of robust, stable, automated, and manageable industry leading Data Center Network technologies as part of a global team.
+ Develops automation for global data center management through SDN managed capabilities.
+ Manage technical projects.
+ Research new methods for automation to enable efficiencies in the global data center environment.
+ Monitor and perform capacity/feasibility studies and resolve network capacity issues. Identify, develop, and deploy tools supporting network services.
+ Plans and schedules work to meet deadlines established by others to ensure the completion of several related tasks.
+ Uses judgement in data analysis to develop and design solutions for moderately complex processes.
Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6+ years of experience OR a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4+ years of experience OR a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in:
+ Managing complex networks
+ Cloud network technologies and network services such as DDI , firewalls and load balances
+ Switch OS and routing/switching technologies
+ Xeon platforms, Network Switches and Nics
Preferred Qualifications + Arista EoS and SONiC, PA firewalls
+ Intel Processors, NICs within a data center context
+ Cloud network management and monitoring
+ Development of network-oriented applications in Python or Go
+ CI/CD methodology and GitHub/GitLab repository distribution

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $139,480.00-$209,760.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
