The Cloud Financial Analyst is part of the Cloud Business Office team in GTIO. The role reports to the Cloud Cost Management & Optimization Senior Manager and has a deep understanding of cloud financial management and principles, budgeting processes, with a proven track record of optimizing cloud costs and investments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for cloud spending across multiple platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, Google).
Leverage management tools to identify and act upon optimization opportunities.
Supervise and analyze cloud usage and spending patterns to find opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to optimize cloud resources, including rightsizing instances, demonstrating instance reservations and Savings Plans, and optimizing cloud storage and networking configurations.
Implement tagging and cost allocation methodologies to supervise spending and allocate costs accurately.
Complete monthly and quarterly recovery chargebacks for all Cloud owned SKUs
Design and implement automated processes for cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Stay updated on cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and standard methodologies in FinOps.
Investigate cost anomalies and discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management on cloud optimization initiatives and cost savings opportunities.

Experience with cloud monitoring and troubleshooting.

Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and familiarity with financial governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of Cloud experience in operational and strategic roles
Experience in scripting (e.g. Python, Powershell, etc.).

Qualifications
**Education/Experience/Background:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or cost management, preferably in a cloud computing or technology-related environment.
* Experience with cloud cost management tools and methodologies.
* Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
* Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
* Experience in developing and presenting financial reports and analyses.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**
* Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Looker, Google Sheets, Power BI).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Understanding of cloud pricing models, discounts, and cost optimization strategies.
* Knowledge of cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and their cost implications.
* Familiarity with cloud cost management tools and best practices.
* Ability to translate technical concepts into financial terms and business value propositions.
**Required Certification/Licenses/Training:**
* Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or GCP Cloud Digital Leader) is a plus.
* Financial or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, or CMA) is a plus.
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with cloud cost management trends and best practices.
**Physical Requirements:**
* This will be a hybrid role located in Paramus, NJ.
* Travel up to 20% may be required.
