UPMC Hamot's Cardiovascular Operating Room is searching for a Clinician to add to their team! Our CVOR is a Certified Comprehensive Cardiac Center that covers Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular cases in the Operating Room and also works collaboratively with the main OR Team to maintain staffing levels. OR experience with Cardiac experience is preferred but not required. This position will work primarily Monday through Friday day shift, with shared call hours during off shifts and weekends. We have a 17-suite operating room that offers wide variety of specialties from Robotics, Kidney Transplants, Trauma and almost everything in between. We provide high quality care for both our elective and urgent patients from infant to geriatrics. The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility in the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care. The Clinician is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice. Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance for a group of direct reports. The Clinician is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities. Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed.
