Job Summary: The Clinical Team Supervisor will function on the Management Team of an oncology clinical research program within the Clinical Research Central Office (CRCO) at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). Under the direction of the Clinical Team Manager, the incumbent will directly supervise, mentor and train Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Nurses, and/or Data Coordinators, ensuring that all research activity adheres to applicable International, Federal, State, and Institutional laws, policies, procedures and requirements. The Supervisor will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator/Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator, managing a large patient load in addition to their supervisory duties. The incumbent must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently using initiative and good judgment, serving as a leader on the team.

Responsibilities: Makes methodological recommendations for multiple clinical trials simultaneously or clinical trials with unique complexity, performs research activities, and compiles and analyzes the quarterly review of all Principal Investigator accounts to aid in the performance of the clinical trials research process. Supervises staff and functions under the Principal Investigator's medical license and cannot perform any tasks that by state or local law require a medical license to perform. 15% Schedules logistics and secures resources for a defined clinical research trial of high complexity and/or multiple research trials 25% Recruits, screens, and enrolls trial participants, collects complex information, performs medical assessments, and answers detailed questions with supervision from a medically licensed professional 15% Collects, prepares, processes, analyzes, and submits participant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering to research protocols and compliance with applicable policies and procedures 10% Assists with review of current research trials, development of operational protocols and work unit policies, and makes recommendations to leadership for improvements 20% Serves as a subject matter expert and main point of contact for clinical research participants providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and informational inquiries 15% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees Institutional Statement on Diversity: Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. Education: Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred focus: Nursing, biomedical or social science, or related field.

Qualifications: -Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating oncology clinical trials
-Nursing degree preferred but not required
SOCRA- Certification in Clinical Research Preferred
CCRP, ACRP, CCRA, CCRC, ACRP-CP all comparable certifications
License/Certification: Preferred

Work Type: Full Time: 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary: Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
There are two vacancies available for this posting, both within our Early Phase Disease-Oriented Team (DOT). The positions will work together, each supervising a portion of the Clinical Research Coordinators on the team.
