Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join their dynamic team. As a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Arizona, they strive to improve the lives of those with autism by offering a wide range of therapeutic, educational, and community-based programs. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based interventions for individuals with ASD and supporting their families.
Responsibilities:
Psychological Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify and diagnose autism spectrum disorder and other mental health conditions in children, adolescents, and adults. Utilize standardized assessment tools, behavioral observations, and interviews to develop a thorough understanding of clients' strengths, challenges, and needs. Treatment Planning: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and educators, to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Therapy and Intervention: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients with ASD, utilizing approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), social skills training, and other empirically supported modalities. Regularly monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed. Family Support: Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers of individuals with autism, empowering them to understand and effectively manage behavioral challenges, communication difficulties, and emotional issues related to ASD. Data Collection and Analysis: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, interventions, and outcomes. Use data-driven decision-making to assess treatment effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary. Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with external agencies, schools, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care and continuity of services for clients. Offer professional consultation to other professionals and community organizations regarding autism and related psychological issues. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of autism and clinical psychology. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Ethics and Compliance: Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in clinical psychology, ensuring the confidentiality and safety of clients and their families. Requirements:
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Arizona. Specialization or experience in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based practices for autism and related developmental disorders. Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with experience using standardized psychological testing. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing compassionate and person-centered care to individuals with ASD and their families.
