As the Clinic Compliance Officer , manages all compliance activities within the medical clinic, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Develops, implements, and monitors compliance programs to mitigate risks, fostering a culture of compliance, conducting audits and investigations, providing compliance training, and serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies. Reviews policies and procedures, clinic, and non- clinical company wide. Serves as the HIPAA Privacy Officer and will oversee medical record requests. Supervises Third-party billing audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's success and reputation for excellence in patient care.
Job Type/ Schedule: Onsite, In-person Full time, Regular work week. Requirements: Juris Doctorate degree Master's/Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration, and/or legal studies, 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance within outpatient medical practices, Certification in healthcare compliance (FACHE,HCCA, CHC, CHPC), Current understanding of healthcare laws and regulations: HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, Anti-Kickback statute and Stark Law, required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence staff at all levels of the organization. Proficient in using compliance software, tracking tools and report creation, required. Recent experience with Medicare/Medicaid, billing and coded, preferred.
