Clinic Based Athletic Trainer or Certified Medical Assistant or Physician Office Specialist Location Mount Pleasant, SC : Job Summary: The responsibility of the clinic based athletic trainer is to provide patient care in the outpatient setting under the direction of a physician. The physician practice based athletic trainer will serve a pivotal role in clinic being responsible for obtaining patient histories, reconciling medication history, obtaining appropriate ancillary studies, assisting provider with in office procedures, DME fitting, application and education, applying and removing casts, patient education, and act as a liaison between the physician and patient. The physician practice athletic trainer must also coordinate with other clinical care team members to provide exceptional patient service and assist with other clinical and clerical duties to ensure optimization of patient experience within the practice.
Clinic Based Athletic Trainer Minimum Qualifications : Education: Bachelor?s degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program.
Experience: 1 year experience as an Athletic Trainer, previous clinic experience or fellowship training strongly preferred. Clinical experience preferred. 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
Licensure/ Certification: SC State Certification from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and National Certification from Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) must be obtained prior to date of hire.Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Knowledge/ Skills: Knowledge of all Athletic Training Domains from education program and NATABOC exam.

Certified Medical Assistant Job Summary : Provide patient care in outpatient physician practice under the direction of the practicing MD, MLP or RN. Responsible for staging patients in preparation to see providers. Update all patient medications in the medication history at each visit. Perform patient related tasks as directed by practice providers. Facilitate the timely communication of clinical advice to patients electronically or by phone as directed by practice providers. Ensure all needed medical records are available to care teams and providers prior to patient's office visit. Coordinate with other team members to provide exceptional patient service. Assist with other clinical and clerical duties to ensure optimization of patient experience within the practice. The Medical Assistant should be proficient with the practice management software and the electronic health record (EHR).
Certified Medical Assistant Minimum Qualifications : Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program. Prefer 1 year of clinical experience. Clinical experience preferred. 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification from a certifying board approved by the Board of Medical Examiners. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Physician Office Specialist Job Summary : The Physician Office Specialist should be knowledgeable and flexible in performing any major function within a physician practice. These activities include but are not limited to receptionist duties, charge posting, closing end of day, pre-certifications, maintaining medical records, performing Medical Assistant (MA) duties, and training other staff for the above functions. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card before providing direct patient care. Coordinate with other care team members to provide exceptional patient service.
Physician Office Specialist Minimum Qualifications : Education: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years experience Or associates degree and one year experience.
Experience: Prefer 1 year MA experience. 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Clinical experience preferred.
