Perform a customer service role
Check-in clients
Answer all incoming calls to the mainline.
Process incoming/outgoing mail.
Process incoming faxes.
Complete eligibility of benefits for all scheduled clients

To qualify for the position, you will need to have...
A High school diploma or GED
One (1) year of office experience in healthcare field
Instead of experience, must have Medical Secretary/Medical Billing certificate
Excellent communication skills within all formats - verbal, phone outreaches, and e-mail etiquette.
Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use a computer.
Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with clients, vendors, and coworkers.
Must have mobility to move about the agency.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Must be able to write, type, and use technology.

Be bilingual: able to speak, read, and write Spanish and English
Have customer service experience
Have knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.

Receipt of results of a satisfactory drug and alcohol screening test.
Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.
Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
