Clerk, Produce Part-Time

Job summary
The Produce Clerk is responsible for processing, preparing, and packaging produce.They also stock shelves and provide customer service.Knowledge of produce items is preferred.

Responsibilities
• Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, mark, and package product• Stock shelves and maintain a clean department• Provide attentive and friendly customer service• Perform necessary rotation of products• Maintain proper cooler, preparation area, and sales floor conditions• Fulfill customer orders for fruit platters and baskets• Maintain adequate produce supply
Requirements
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions• Possess basic computer skills• Excellent vision• Ability to provide courteous and friendly customer service• Ability to operate knives, computerized scales, pallet jack, wrapping machine, case cutter, marking gun, and baler/compactor• Some experience in retail or customer service preferred
Key Skills Needed
• Knowledge of produce items preferred
