You'll be a part of an award-winning team, enjoy a hands-on environment and develop relationships with and enrich the quality of life for the individuals and families we serve. As a Cleaning Specialist you will: Perform housekeeping duties (such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls, and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, changing cubicle curtains, and other related duties) Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment, such as buffers, carts, vacuum cleaners, extractors, etc Keep work areas and utility rooms neat and orderly Report needed improvements and repairs to the Director of Housekeeping and LaundryMaintain good rapport with residents, families, and visitors and refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge
Organize and complete scheduled duties and special projects as assigned Know and comply with facility and department safety rules Assist with supply inventory for scheduled projects Collect and dispose of all refuse from designated locations and operate the trash compactor as assigned Shampoo carpets, buff floors, strip, and wax floors as scheduled Carry a walkie-talkie/radio for after maintenance hours and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able and willing to assume responsibility for the sanitation and cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the facility Must have the ability to understand and follow directions, both oral and written Must be able to work with residents, supervisors, and peers in a cooperative and helpful manner Experience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred, but not required Experience with floor care equipment, i.e. scrubber, extractor, wax strippers & wax Must display a great deal of patience, consideration, and tact when dealing with staff, tenants, visitors, and residents Must be able to operate trash compactor Able to perform the required physical activities (including the ability to carry up to 50 pounds) Have attention to detail Benefits & Perks:* Competitive pay with shift differential and supervisory bonus Flexible hours and multiple shifts available for you to design your ideal work-life balance Vacation and Sick Pay Medical, Dental, and Vision 401k with Employer Match Excellent advancement opportunities Longevity Bonuses On-site child care (with employee discount!) Pay Ranges from $15.00 - $17.00 per hour! This is a benefits-eligible position, 65 hours per pay period, Hours are 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and you only have to work every other weekend and holiday!
