THE POSITION: We are looking for a Civil Technician II (MODS). The pay range we offer is $45,000 to $55,000 per year. We offer a generous compensation plan based on industry standards and your experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Civil Technician II will install and maintain telecommunications infrastructure. This position requires high-level technical knowledge and experience in civil engineering, construction, and telecommunications.
Install and maintain telecommunications infrastructure such as fiber optic cables, copper cables, conduit systems, manholes, handholes, vaults, poles, and other equipment.
Perform site surveys to determine the best equipment placement for optimal performance.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation of equipment.
Troubleshoot issues with existing infrastructure to identify the root cause and develop solutions.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while working onsite.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and labor hours expended.
Provide technical support to other technicians as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum three years' experience in civil engineering or construction required; 5+ years' experience preferred.
Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure installation and maintenance required; fiber optics experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics required; AutoCAD experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders/stairs/poles, and work in confined spaces required; aerial lift certification preferred.
