Full job description Description: This is a full time, long-term position with full benefits for a Materials Construction Inspector.
o 5-10 years of inspection exp.
o Some inspection materials background in soils, pavement, or concrete is required.
o Municipal experience is preferred.
o We have a large project in Apache Junction. Not a requirement, but it will be a plus to anyone hired if they live there or in the area. Less driving every day until that project wraps up.
Responsibilities Perform routine field inspections for the purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications. Monitor, observe, and record the work performed daily. Attend various meetings as needed related to projects. Resolve construction field conflicts. Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Maintain and take care of all company issued equipment and vehicles. Qualifications Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision Valid driver's license and reliable driving record Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing Standing and walking for long periods of time Use a company provided computer or tablet for entering data Willingness to learn and adapt to changes High School Diploma or the equivalent Suitable to work outdoors, especially in Arizona summer temperatures. A can-do attitude and willingness to work overtime. Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a construction-related field. Experience working on civil infrastructure projects. OSHA 10-hour construction safety certificate. Skills: Inspection, Documentation control, Civil, communication and people skills
