B&N Civil Engineering Technologist/Project Representative Responsibilities:
Support engineers and surveyors on bridge, roadway, water, and sewer projects, which may include, observing construction, tracking quantities, and confirming work is performed in accordance to the plans and specifications Interact with contractor's field crews to help meet project goals Perform project field work for the collection of data, surveys, site assessments, and field verifications to support project development or layout, and/or CAD mapping creation and plan production Interact with owners and B&N project manager as needed for progress updates and non-conformance reports Complete daily reports Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery Opportunity to provide training, coaching, and mentoring for junior level staff Skills & Qualifications: Associate Degree in Engineering or technical related discipline 10+ years of engineering technician related experience DOT and/or local government experience a plus Ability to work outside, physical ability to move in and around project sites Proficiency in Microsoft Office required Experience in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Operation of Survey Total Station a plus Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and lift 30 lbs OUR BENEFITS Medical, dental and vision insurance Immediate accrued paid time off Paid Parental Leave 401(k) with match and no vesting schedule Flexible spending or health savings account options Basic life insurance/short-term & long-term disability coverage at no cost to the employee with option to purchase supplemental life insurance Bonus program Flexible hours and hybrid work schedule options Tuition assistance Professional development opportunities Casual dress WHY B&N?
