Job Description Olsson's traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for such traditional services as traffic operations studies, pedestrian circulation studies, and intersection improvement/design projects. They are also proficient in more complex projects, including conducting citywide safety studies, improving signal systems, and evaluating and designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
As an Engineer in our Des Moines, IA office on the Traffic/Technology team, you will work on and lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects. You will have the opportunity to help pursue projects that you are passionate about and build your career in our fast-growing office.
Qualifications You are passionate about: Working collaboratively with others. Having ownership in the work you do. Using your talents to positively affect communities. You bring to the team: Strong communication skills. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering. 2 - 4 years of relevant experience.? EI certificate or PE license. Has working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation. Experience with design projects, preferred, and traffic studies. Local Des Moines or Iowa knowledge and experience, preferred.
