Responsibilities
• Analyze project specifications for construction• Utilize construction plans, take-offs, historical data, and vendor quotations to prepare estimates• Identify critical factors influencing risk, cost, and profitability• Develop cost estimates for diverse projects• Conduct risk analysis for project evaluation• Obtain and negotiate offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors• Produce and submit detailed estimate reports and bid proposals• Cultivate relationships with key vendors• Offer expert consultation on project planning• Estimate multiple projects concurrently
Requirements
• Required expertise in civil construction estimating• Preferred PE license• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, or related field preferred• Experience in estimating or similar role• Familiarity with financial and project management principles• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools• Strong mathematical and IT skills• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills• Detail-oriented and reliable• Outstanding organizational abilities
