Overview: We are seeking a WELD INSPECTOR that will work closely with the QA Manager to assist the shop and field operations to join our team. The Weld Inspector will inspect work in the process of shop fabrication and field construction of metal products to ensure conformance with Production drawings, internal company criteria, and applicable standards. This position will travel 30% and pay is in the $100K range depending on experience with competitive benefits.
Job Duties: Inspects specialized equipment per Company inspection program; including carbon steel and stainless steel Continue the process to incorporate additional equipment into the inspection program Maintain internal equipment inspection program and database. Perform plant and job site inspections to evaluate welding and the company established acceptable criteria. Document and distribute the inspection process using the Plant or Job Site inspection form. When appropriate, document and distribute nonconformance reports to notify appropriate personnel when nonconformance are discovered. Assists in the development of new welding procedures. Assists in maintaining certifications for Welders Companywide. Assists in the testing of Welder's certification for new employees. Qualifications: Three to five years of experience preferred ASME BPVC. VIII experience is a must QA and/or CWI is a plus but not required Experience in stainless steel, carbon steel, and nickel alloy welding
