We are looking for Assistant Teachers to create an awesome team for a BRAND NEW CHILD CARE FACILITY that is opening in Rosendale, WI. Renovations will be complete roughly September 2024, so we are looking for staff to start October 2024.
We are creating a much-needed safe space within a local community that has a need for childcare center. We are a small local owned childcare center looking for amazing team members that want to educate, enrich, and help our communities children learn and grow.
The Assistant Teacher supports the Teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. S/he must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Assisting the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, the assistant teacher observes and documents children's interest and progress, and relays that information back to parents and staff. Assistant teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director.
Countryside Learning Center is open from 6:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
THIS POSITION WILL START around OCTOBER 2024
Brand New Building Duties Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children. Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports. Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling. Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center. Follow all center policies and state regulations. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Requirements
? Minimum of 1-2 years of professional childcare experience preferred but we will train the right person.
? High school diploma or equivalent is required.
? Certification in First Aid/ Infant &Child CPR/ AED required, must be maintained by recertification as necessary, WILL certify if do not have.
? Must pass criminal background check/ fingerprinting/ health screening.
? Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
? Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
? A strong understanding of child development.
? Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Assistant teacher certified classes or certification on the Wisconsin Registry is preferred but will provide the classes for the right person. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Must be able to stand on their feet for 8-10 hours a day. Prolonged periods of standing, and frequent bending Nice To Haves
Level 3 on the Registry but will train the right candidate. Benefits
