Childcare Assistant Teacher

Bright Light Academy is seeking staff to assist in multiple classrooms. The ideal candidate will have two+ years experience working with children, be a team player and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with the lead and assistant teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities. Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k students. Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines. Provide individual and group support to children as needed. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress. Qualifications: Must have two+ years experience working with children. Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks. 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States. A love for children and a desire to work with all ages. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear & sit on the floor with children. Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment. This position is a great opportunity for those interested in expanding their experience in the field of early childhood education. While this position is FULL-TIME, YEAR-ROUND we do have some flexibility. For those with 2500 hours of experience, pay starts at $15.50. For an experienced educator with a a CDA, a non-related associates or bachelor's degree AND at least 2500 hours of experience, pay is up to $17.50 (relative to education & experience). Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff work a FOUR-DAY work week!
