Job DescriptionChild Care Services Wage Pool positions perform various tasks as a Classroom Aide. Typical work may include supporting Lead Classroom Teacher in planning and execution of activities, professional development and training, general child care (diapers/toileting included), playing and engaging with young children in meaningful ways, lifting moving or carrying children as needed, and other tasks as required. Positions require compliance with qualifications as outlined by the Virginia Department of Social Services, as well as good communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
