The Chief Talent and Marketing Officer (CTMO) is a member of the Indy Chamber's executive leadership team, responsible for leading regional talent and image initiatives, as well as institutional marketing and communications.
The CTMO serves as a key champion, voice, and relationship builder for the Chamber, establishing a consistent and effective marketing/communications strategy and ensuring appropriate engagement with public and private stakeholders across the Indy region. The CTMO will have extensive leadership experience and will demonstrate the ability to create strategic plans, implement multifaceted marketing and communications plans, interact with various stakeholders, and lead diverse teams.
Requirements
Provide strategic leadership to the Indy Chamber's talent, marketing, and communications teams
Lead the collaborative development of talent and marketing objectives, strategic initiatives, and tactics in support of the Chamber's vision
Partner with the membership, events, fundraising, economic development, and policy/advocacy teams to conduct market research, create compelling messaging and creative assets, develop strong marketing/media plans, and effectively/efficiently execute to drive education, awareness, and demand
Execute key talent attraction and retention programs, such as Fast Forward, in partnership with key education and industry stakeholders
Serve as a spokesperson and brand ambassador for the Indy Chamber and for Central Indiana, building and maintaining relationships with media, civic partners, government officials, and other external stakeholders
Collaborate with civic, government, and private sector partners on priority regional initiatives, such as regional brand development, modern youth apprenticeship, etc.
Manage expense/utilization and maximize impact of marketing and communications technology platforms and subscriptions
Develop short and long-term goals and key performance indicators for staff.
Promote a performance-based culture and a focus on professional/personal development among direct reports
Develop and manage the departmental budget and forecasts, including a shared responsibility for enhancing programmatic revenue support (grants and corporate investment).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in marketing, communications, human resources, or a related field.
