Primary Purpose
The Chief of Staff will support the Executive Chairman of the Board in their role managing the day-to-day operations. This position also serves as liaison to the other senior management teams.
Responsibilities
Project management:Overseeing company-wide projects and programs to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
Communication:Managing interdepartmental communications, liaising with clients, leaders, and scheduling meetings with executives and stakeholders
Consultation: Provide data analysis and metrics to the executive team
Decision making:Working with senior management to make strategic decisions
Financial reporting:Helps overseeing budgeting and high-level marketing strategies
Trust:Building a sense of trust and safety with executive teams through confidential conversations and broader meetings
Stability:Helping maintain an organization's stability, implementing strategies, and speeding up decision making
Operations management:Managing the daily operations that keep the company running, including projects and functions delegated to them by the Chairman of the Board
Qualifications
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
Excellent written and communication skills
Project management experience
Good judgement, resourceful, problem solving, critical thinking, diplomacy and negotiation skills
Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills, combined with business judgment
Setting the cultural tone for broad groups or functions in alignment with Emmes values and providing inspirational leadership through example rather than decree
Exemplifies Emmes values in all actions and behavior
Emmes requires all US based Clinical Research Associate new hires to be fully vaccinated before their first day of employment. All new hires may also be required to comply with other COVID-19 health and safety protocols, such as masking or testing.
