Responsibilities
• Direct all software development activities and set priorities and schedules.• Explore new technologies for future planning and implementation.• Hire, train, and manage employees.• Provide executive management leadership for IT and software development.• Manage major software development projects.• Develop and execute acquisition, implementation, and maintenance strategies.• Provide strategic input into business strategy development leveraging IT.• Enforce policies and procedures for IT asset protection and security.• Develop a business recovery plan for IT services.• Keep up with information technology trends, technologies, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (Ph.D. preferred).• 10 years of experience in software development with direct responsibility for manufacturing software products and customer support.• 5+ years of experience in a managerial or CIO position in a small software business.• Proven leadership skills for staff management and development.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.• Strong background in various aspects of software development, network technology, server infrastructure, and e-commerce.
