Chief Engineer - Holiday Inn Santee

If you have been called Mr. Fix It, Holiday Inn Santee could have an opportunity for you.  As the Maintenance Chief (Chief Engineer) , you will be responsible for m anaging and supervising the physical maintenance program for the entire hotel facility ensuring the efficient operation and appearance of the property designed to maximize guest comforts and satisfaction and to ensure owner return on investments.
Supervises maintenance operations for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air conditioning and heating units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
Ensuring the hotel is maintained by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and related maintenance activities. Additional responsibilities will include ensuring the replacement of air-conditioner filters, turning mattresses, and repairing broken items such as lamps or vacuum cleaners. 
This position works closely with each of the associates working within the Maintenance Department to discuss any future projects, present operational or personal problems.
If you are skilled in the safe operation of hand tools and can read and understands specifications, are able to measure, compute the amount of materials needed and inspect products, and can work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings and holidays this could be the job for you.
The physical demands for this position including lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.  Reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing.
