The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBEN) invites applicants for a part-time position as an instructor for CBENUnit Operations Laboratory (Field Session). The course covers principles of mass, energy, and momentum transport as applied tolaboratory-scale processing equipment. Written and oral communications skills, teamwork, and critical thinking are emphasized. Moreinformation on the course can be found at this link .This opportunity is available for Summer 2024, for both Field Session 1 (5/13/2024 - 6/21/2024) and Field Session 2 (7/8/2024 -8/16/2024).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Instruct students in composition, drafting and editing of labreports 
Measure student progress toward learning outcomes by grading and giving feedback on writtenassignments 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Hold regular office hours 
Engage studentson Canvas and by email 
Participate in occasional meetings with primary course
Performs other duties asassigned 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Masters in a field relatedto composition 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Confidence in expanding learning base in newsubject areas 
Ability to provide meaningful feedback on student writing 
Ability to work with existingprogram curriculum and develop new assignments and materials as needed.
Ability to navigate online learning managementsystems (Canvas) 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Ph.D. orterminal degree in a field related to composition 
Advanced skills in using learning management systems(Canvas)
