Chat Support Specialist - Remote Work

Job Description:

American Electric Power is seeking a talented Chat Support Specialist to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As an Associate Level Chat Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients through online chat communication. This role requires a strong understanding of our products and services, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and solve problems in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support via online chat- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams- Educate customers on product features and benefits- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions- Follow up with customers to ensure their issues have been resolved to their satisfaction- Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and enhance the customer experience

Requirements:- 4 years of experience in customer service or technical support- Passionate about providing exceptional customer service- Resourceful in finding solutions to complex problems- Critical thinking skills to quickly assess and resolve issues- Emotional intelligence to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues- Ability to work remotely and independently- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Proficiency in using chat support software and other relevant tools- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
