Summary: As a CNM/NP at our facility, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to expectant mothers and their families alongside our Physician FM-OB. Responsibilities: Position includes clinic shifts and call shifts Conduct prenatal exams and assessments Assist with labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers Evaluate test results, inform patient of results and coordinate further therapies Perform annual exams Educate patients on childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care Triage of family medicine, women's health, obstetrical and gynecological patients and being able to evaluate and treat with guidance of physician as needed Assist with office procedures Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communications skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to identify problems and assist in finding solutions Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians, providers, and other staff Ability to communicate effectively and be an integral part of the team Ability to use good reasoning and judgment Education: Master's Degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Unrestricted Nurse Midwife License issues by the State Board in the state of practice or compacted privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement.
Experience: 3-5 years of CNM/NP experience preferred Mental and Physical Requirements : Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. This position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. May require working under stressful conditions.
Conditions: Normal office and exam room environment. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, clients, patients, insurance companies, labs, hospitals, and other members of the public on a regular basis. The position may cause exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
