Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location : Fridley, MN 55432
Job type: Full time permanet position
Hourly Range: $20.00 - $26.00 (based on years of experience)
Shift : Day Shift, 8 hours
Job Description: As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Fridley, MN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Patient Care: Greeting and escorting patients to examination rooms. Taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. Performing basic medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers. Administering medications as prescribed by physicians. Administrative Duties: Updating patient medical records accurately and efficiently. Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient referrals. Handling phone calls, inquiries, and messages from patients and other healthcare professionals. Managing medical supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels. Compliance and Documentation: Adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA. Ensuring accuracy and completeness of all medical documentation and records. Following established protocols and procedures for medical tasks. Collaboration :
Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Communicating effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Patient Education: Providing patients with information about their health conditions, medications, and treatment plans. Offering guidance on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required. High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a medical assisting program preferred. Previous experience working as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
