The Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of C/S trays, instruments, equipment, inventory and restocking of supplies, computer data entry and patient charge card batching. Able to move throughout facility. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be knowledgeable of patient supplies and equipment.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Medical Terminology desirable. Minimum 6 months acute patient care facility preferred. High School diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to read, comprehend and communicate effectively in writing.  Skills to maintain active communications with surgical staff. Central Supply Certified preferred. At least 2 years experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
