Central Intake Coordinator

Ozark Home Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator/Receptionist. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for our home health patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork, and providing exceptional customer service. As a receptionist, you'll be answering phones, taking messages and greeting walk-in's that come into the office for our Home Health.Duties:Greets and communicates effectively on the telephone with patients, families and staff. Forwards calls to appropriate personnel, or takes detailed messages if staff member is unavailable for all three companies.Collect and verify patient information, including insurance verification, medical history, and physician ordersCoordinates with interdisciplinary teamAnswer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, families, physician offices, and all other referral sources on services provided by the agency.Maintains a working knowledge of contractual relationships and ensures that patients are admitted according to contract provisions.Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulationsAssist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documentsCollaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate insurance verification.Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as neededProvide administrative support as requiredQualifications:High school graduate1-2 years experience in a Medical Office or Business Office preferredMust be computer literate and able maintain simple records in English.Must have a criminal background check.Risk of Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens: Limited
