Brief Description

Plans and coordinates programs designed to promote the well-being and independence of senior citizens participating in the nutritional health program.
Detailed Description

ans and coordinates services and activities for older adults, including transportation and clerical services.Provides program reports to the nutrition center administrator concerning problems and concerns of senior citizens, meals, revenue, expenditures and outreach activities.Develops contacts with community organizations for older adults and ensures utilization by initiating and organizing group presentations and activities that will provide information to center participants.Provides counselling, referrals and personal assistance to center participants in need of resource information.Monitors, records and contributes to the attainment of the nutrition program performance goals by achieving a center goal of average meals served per day.Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program. Two (2) years of work related experience or 30 hours from an accredited college or university or a combination of the two.Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License, with a good driving record and reliable transportation.Standard office environment within a center setting. May be required to travel to various work site locations.
