The Director of Catering is responsible for overseeing, managing and coordinating all outside sales at Chick-fil-A West Hills. The incumbent will implement systems and processes that improve how orders are received, prepared and delivered in keeping with Chick-fil-A standard operating procedures, brand guidelines, and menu offerings. SPECIALIZED TECHNIQUES/KNOWLEDGE: Sound knowledge of food quality standards, including food preparation and hygiene. Knowledge of operations analysis. Knowledge of Chick-fil-A Standard Operating Procedures. Extensive knowledge of local or state requirements for food establishments. Excellent human relations skills, team building, negotiation, planning and creative skills. Strong time management skills. Able to handle multiple tasks and complete them within specified deadlines. Working knowledge of consumer behavior and market trends in the Knoxville area. An awareness of community events. CRITICAL PERFORMANCE FACTORS: Detail-oriented, pro-active in carrying out duties. Excellent analytical and supervisory skill. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set sales targets that are S.M.A.R.T and the means to achieve them. Assists in overseeing Back of House and Front of House Employee Productivity (Team Members, Supervisors, Directors) when leading shifts. Researches and implements sales development initiatives. Consistently works to increase customer base. Enforces Chick-fil-A Inc. Standard Operating Procedures. Coaches direct reports, indirect reports and team members on operating standards, operational effectiveness, second mile service, and business goals. Ensures adherence to all current Quality and Safety, Health and Environment standards as well as current motor vehicle (catering van), security, food safety systems, policies procedures and guidelines. Assists the Back of House Director of Operations with the development of systems and process to achieve cost and quality improvements to meet changing consumer behavior, market demands, and staffing needs. Supports each direct report to accomplish critical performance measures. Maintain healthy, thriving, amicable relationships with all direct and indirect reports. Oversees all store inspections to ensure corrective measures are acted upon. Coordinates staff requirements with BOH and FOH schedulers as business increases. Perform monthly Catering Callbacks and share feedback with the team. Analyze and measure financial results of catering sales per month and create plans on how to increase.
