Responsibilities
• Take and give out orders to the kitchen staff• Communicate quickly and efficiently with crew members and kitchen staff• Balance cash drawers• Listen and solve customer queries• Replace food if necessary• Be an ideal team player• Maintain good relationships with guests• Greet and welcome customers• Place orders for customers in-person and over the phone• Accurately process cash, credit card, and gift card transactions• Answer customer questions and make menu recommendations• Monitor order times• Verify order accuracy before giving to customers• Balance the register at the end of the shift• Maintain a clean workplace• Handle customer complaints• Leave customers with a positive impression• Assist kitchen staff when needed• Follow directions from managers
Requirements
• Cashier and restaurant experience preferred• Food Handler Certification required• Computer literate and comfortable using computerized register (POS) systems• Great cash handling skills• Professional, polite, and reliable under stress• Excellent interpersonal and people skills• Integrity, honesty, and accountability• Maintain a professional and presentable appearance
