Copper Point Group (A Lamoreaux Design & Construction Company) is seeking a Carpenter for heavy log and timber construction for resort and residential projects in the Cedar City area. You must have a minimum of 5 years of construction experience in carpentry, and be at a journeyman level or equivalent.
Responsibilities include: Residential and Commercial Log and Heavy Timber Building construction. New Construction and Remodels. Desired Construction Skills/Expertise: Heavy log trusses, heavy log/timber layout and framing. Log and timber scribing and coping. Log timber skills with chainsaw, sawsall, grinder saw. Joints and connection experience. Jigs and fixture experience to fabricate trusses and other elements. Log truss fabrication. Portable sawmill operation for log preparation. Modular construction experience desired. Framing, trim work and siding. Speed/framing square knowledge, degrees, roof pitches, math skills for layout. Quality fit and finish.
