Career Coaching & Student Programs Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:
Thisposition will serve as a Career Coach in Walton Career Connections providing career path management guidance to students and supportingcareer programming efforts of the office. The job duties include but are not limited to assisting current undergraduate and graduatebusiness students with job search strategy; the use of current technology related to job searching and labor market trends in business andindustry including but not limited to Handshake, VMock, LinkedIn, and various virtual event platforms, building a personal brand, resumerevision, interview preparation, and offer evaluation and negotiation. This position supports Walton career programming by deliveringsessions and workshops that will help undergraduate and graduate students develop career readiness. Works in collaboration with internal andexternal Walton College stakeholders, to support Walton Career activities such as Career Fairs, special workshops/events, and classroompresentations through content creation, marketing, and delivery. Support postgraduate data collection activities.
Regular, reliable,and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationshipswith others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from anaccredited institution of higher education At least one year of experience working with students, particularly in an advisorycapacity OR At least one year of experience working in the corporate environment Strong oral and written communicationskills Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly, to listen actively, to adapt to changing situations, and to coach and motivateothers Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree froman accredited institution of higher education Bachelor's degree in a business concentration from an accredited university Atleast two years of experience working with students, particularly in an advisory capacity At least two years of experience workingin the corporate environment Prior knowledge of US and International Business Environment (as evidenced through a business degree,business minor, or work experience in the corporate world) Additional Information: SalaryInformation:
