What's the Role?
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office and providing exceptional administrative support, being the face of the practice with a lot of room to grow with us.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments for patients, coordinating with our healthcare provider and other staff members
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Verify insurance information and process necessary paperwork
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare facilities
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal patient care
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Skills:
- Previous experience in an office setting, preferably in a medical or dental office
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
