Canvassers are skilled verbal communicators who engage the public to market products, solicit donations, disseminate information, or gather information on behalf of organizations. They may walk through or around malls or neighborhoods and initiate conversations with members of their target markets.

In the canvasser role, you will approach and talk to a large number of people, either at their homes or in public places. You will present brochures or prototypes to initiate discussions about the products or the campaigns you are promoting. You are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and a warm, approachable attitude at all times. Success in this role will be determined by driving public engagement and increasing sales or donations.
