DESCRIPTION:
Teacher will guide 4 th and 5 th grade students through a STEM based curriculum. Teachers will implement learning experiences in collaboration with the Science department and PROPEL & Level Up. Teachers will facilitate the learning of students using inquiry-based learning techniques. Teachers will facilitate two 2 ½ hour STEM courses per day, for a two week PROPEL STEM Camp. Teachers will have an opportunity to select and teach courses based on a curriculum provided by the program. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote healthy academic behaviors in children in a developmentally appropriate manner Establish a safe and supportive environment that is conducive to learning and enables students to demonstrate agency, ownership, and reflection Facilitate students utilizing the inquiry-based learning model Mentor and work with student counselors Support and participate in the professional learning community to deepen the understanding of the curriculum, content, and competencies QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma/GED required Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
