Join our team at KLINGER GPI as a Full Time Calibration Tech. As a Calibration Tech, you will have the opportunity to showcase your mechanical aptitude while working with a variety of precision instruments. This position is mostly onsite at our facility in Odessa, TX, with some travel required for onsite calibrations allowing you to be hands-on with cutting-edge technology and equipment. With a competitive pay ranging from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on your experience, you can grow your skills and expertise in a dynamic work environment.

KLINGER GPI manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of fluid sealing and control products; including static and dynamic sealing products, valves, instrumentations, expansion joints and hoses, fasteners, hydraulic bolt tightening equipment and supplementary MRO products. In addition, our accredited in-house and mobile facilities provide tool calibration and equipment repair services to suit any calibration schedule requirements.
Your day as a Calibration Tech As a Calibration Technician at KLINGER GPI, you will play a crucial role in inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing torque equipment and pressure gauges to guarantee precise measurement accuracy. Your responsibilities will span across our lab and mobile lab locations, providing you with a diverse work environment. Adhering strictly to procedures and policies, you will ensure that all calibrations meet the rigorous ISO 17025 industry standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to maintaining the highest quality standards in precision measurement technology.
Are you the Calibration Tech we're looking for? To excel as a Calibration Technician at KLINGER GPI, candidates must possess a diverse set of skills and qualifications. These include being at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and must be able to pass a background check as customer site access may require it. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with basic knowledge of metrology and mathematics. Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) or equivalent, technical training is preferred but not required. Proficiency in using measurement instruments like calipers, OD micrometers, and ID micrometers is essential. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, multitasking abilities, and effective communication skills, both oral and written, are crucial for success in this role.
Professionalism is a must, along with regular and reliable attendance.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Proficiency in theory and practice in at least one of the following technical proficiency areas:
