Sunriver Resort is hiring for a seasonal Cafe Attendant at the Backyard Cafe! The Café Attendant is responsible for performing general cashier and serving duties in the resort cafes. They responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned outlets. The Café Attendant will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards. The Café Attendant will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Café Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Takes guests orders using POS system Receives proper and accurate payment from guests Distributes appropriate change Accurately reports tips and hours each shift using proper documents Adheres to OLCC and Sunriver Resort policies and procedures Ensures bookkeeping policies and procedures are followed daily Assists chefs/cooks with food preparation Prepares specialty drinks Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift and end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate change Serves guests food and beverages tableside Wipes down tables and ensures cleanliness of café Informs and promotes guests of daily specials Checks guests' identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitation Familiarizes him/herself with menu Offers creative selling of products to guests Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as needed Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredients Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest High school education required Prior hospitality experience preferred At least six months food & beverage experience preferred At least one year customer service experience preferred At least six months POS system experience preferred Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC card Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handler's permit Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
