Primary Objectives
•Procurement: Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the Company's needs for select production materials and services related to steel and aluminum. Strong Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma, Engineering, Manufacturing processes and program management. Knowledge of quality and business systems, commercial and financial acumen. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation and influential skills and an ability to present data effectively.
•Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Communicate efficiently throughout procurement and directly with customer's/supplier's management. Diplomatic approach to relationships. Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
•Drive supplier selection process through Purchasing and supply chain best practices
•Assess New and existing supplier Capabilities for product, cost, quality, capacity and delivery
•Analyzes quotations; negotiates prices and terms with suppliers; identifies new potential suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities
•Drive improvements internal and external utilizing Lean Methodology. Drive supplier improvements utilizing Lean methodologies, supplier scorecards and ensuring supplier compliance, whilst driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver value.
•Contribute to end-to-end supply chain continuous improvement activities.
•Track the supplier's performance indicators, based on their scorecards and rankings, to facilitate and develop the supply base's ability to consistently meet or exceed defined expectations.
•Provide leadership during investigations of major problems and or special projects focusing on developing working relationships with suppliers and the supply chain.
•Updates pricing, lead-times, minimum buy quantities and terms in the Material Master file as required. This includes the annual review of material costs and ensuring new material standards that are set for the following year are accurate.
•Run and address weekly report of part shortage
•Work with Advanced Engineering and Technical team to define scope and process parameters for supplier selection criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
•Act as a change agent to communicate and coach cross functional departments in cost effective end to end supply chain processes minimizing waste and driving disciplined adherence to process and process.
•Reduces non value added tasks and finds ways to automate as possible. Drives continuous improvement.
•Performs other similar and related duties as required.
•Conduct in-depth analysis of the steel market, including pricing trends, availability, and supplier performance
•Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives
•Negotiate contracts with steel suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
•Generate Purchase Orders for materials based on stock level requirements and business needs
•Ensure costs is current and accurate
•Monitor steel supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
•Work closely with other departments to understand steel requirements and ensure timely procurement
•Analyze inventory levels of steel materials to minimize excess and shortage situations (set min max levels as needed)
•Stay informed about developments in the steel industry, including technological advancements and regulatory changes
•Generate reports on key steel procurement metrics to support decision-making processes as needed
•Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock items
•Collaborate with the procurement manager to optimize purchasing decisions and prevent overstock situations
•Generate reports on dead stock metrics and provide insights for decision-making as needed Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, or similar 
•CPSM Certified (Preferred) 
•Lean Practitioner
•IATF 16949 knowledge
•Proficient in Problem solving tools.
•Experience in Metal Stampings, Assembly, Tool and Die
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Organizational and time management skills.
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
