Buyer/Planner

Planner/Buyer Aurora, IL Contract/Potential Contract-Hire 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri $25-$28/Hour, DOE Description: Purchase raw and packaging materials in accordance with proper purchasing practices, stocking levels and production requirements. Maintain raw materials, packaging and finished goods inventory to ensure optimal inventory availability in support of demand forecasts. Maintain accurate master data to drive efficient planning processes and inventory management. Communicate with corporate procurement concerning changes in pricing, lead-times and other issues impacting supply. Prepare weekly production schedules to ensure proper product availability to support demand forecasts and stocking levels. Maintain SAP MRP data. Collaborate with production, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, R&D, EHS Qualifications: 5+ Years of production planning and/or buying in a manufacturing environment. B.S. Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain APICS Certification a plus Must be proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP software experience is preferred – must have SAP or comparable ERP system. Must have knowledge of bill of materials and component behaviors in MRP processes.
