Job Description To work with Suppliers to schedule and expedite material for delivery at the right time to achieve the production schedule and the customer requirements. Actioning daily exception messages, maintaining system parameters and ensuring deliveries are received on time in full whilst maintaining the optimum levels of inventory.
Job Duties: Responsible for actioning all MRP exception messages on a daily basis. Review ERP recommendations to prepare, validate and schedule purchase orders to achieve optimal level of material availability. Utilize inventory tools and techniques to ensure right sizing of inventory availability. Manage inventory levels and check for any potential risks to supply, escalate to the Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) and support with the action plan to recovery. Maintain and manage the master data within the ERP system ensuring all data is in line with the agreements made by the center-led sourcing team. Manage inventory levels and escalate any concerns with potential overstocks. Build relationships with suppliers ensuring the deliveries are received on time in full, participating on Supplier on Time Delivery activities.
Qualifications Experience in the use of ERP systems. Experience with and sound knowledge of the basics of inventory management. Good level of IT understanding, including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Personal Specification: Experience in inventory and material control within a manufacturing environment. Excellent relationship building and communication skills. Good attention to detail, with a methodical and logical analytical approach.
