Make your dream career a reality. It's possible! What You'll Do: The Buyer will be responsible for negotiating and managing relationships with our supplier base, while also managing the purchase order (PO) process.

What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred  Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing required Material requirements planning (MRP) experience in a manufacturing environment or building materials preferred Demonstrated experience in ERP systems software (SAP preferred)  Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude  Ability to develop and manage supplier relationships Ability to influence suppliers to achieve the best outcome as it relates to business objectives  Demonstrate personal integrity in conducting business Ability to conduct thorough request for proposal (RFP) analysis for effective evaluation of suppliers' competitiveness Demonstrated ability to focus/prioritize on multiple opportunities at one time  Ability to influence others without a direct reporting relationship  Demonstrated ability to communicate to the right audience in a timely fashion using an effective communication method, depending on the nature of the information.  Ability to see and understand the company point of view as well as that of suppliers  Proven capability and capacity to manage multiple programs, projects and supplier relationships Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and demanding quality execution  Demonstrated effective analytical and decision-making principles  Advanced skills with MS Office and proprietary software  What You'll Receive: At James Hardie, we recognize that our success depends on our people.
