Overview: Summary: Buyer I role is an entry level position which entails purchasing a variety of electronic components, materials, supplies, and services. Responsibilities include coordination of purchasing activities with multiple departments, both indirect and direct procurements, and effectively communicate resultant schedules to respective program teams.
Responsibilities: Execute and generate compliant purchase orders based on approved requisitions. Solicit, negotiate and analyze quotes including lead times to ensure optimal delivery of material. Communicate Material Resource Planning (MRP) changes and forecasts to suppliers to meet optimal inventory levels and minimize excess inventory. Coordinates with internal departments to resolve issues and improve processes related to the procurement of inventory. Consult with engineering to resolve vendor quality and delivery issues. Perform a variety of general administrative tasks as required to support purchasing activities. Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field or Associates Degree in Business related program plus minimum 1 year work experience in related field. Minimum 1 year of professional work experience in a Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, or manufacturing setting. Preferred: Manufacturing environment experience a plus (minimum 6 - 12 months) Working knowledge of cost negotiation and supplier relations Strong Microsoft Office proficiency - strong skillset Excel preferred. Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment. Self-Starter with strong interpersonal skills. Successfully able to work in both an independent and team setting. Salary Range : $56,017- $60,000 annually.
