Business Tax Assessment Specialist

High school diploma or GED; some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred; one to three years of experience in local governmental taxation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; PC experience required.

Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Responsibilities include:

Screening, auditing, and processing business license applications and business personal property filings

Determining proper business license classifications

Maintaining records for business license and business personal property accounts

Maintaining correspondence and billing files, data entry of business license and business personal property accounts

Perform other work as required.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
