Responsibilities
• Oversees the Institute's administrative capacity to pursue its mission and effectively execute deliverables for more than $25M in award commitments.• Manages financial, operational, and human resources functions supporting a team of 70+ full-time, 25+ part-time, and 100 consultants delivering statewide services through four different office locations.• Works closely with PIs on strategies related to financial accounting, sustainability, and development in IFF's business practices by supporting budgeting and procurement processes, overseeing facility operations, monitoring personnel actions, and guiding a team of professionals providing administrative support.• Responsible for achieving optimal operational efficiencies while adhering to university and sponsor policies and providing responsive support to meet existing award commitments, satisfy stakeholder expectations, and retain an engaged, high-performing team of diverse professionals.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as management, finance, business, human resources; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.• A minimum of 5 years, of progressively responsible financial, human resources, and/or operational management experience in an organization supported by multiple funding streams.• Experienced managing public contracts and awards.• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and lead a team in a complex, fast-changing environment.• High professional standards with the ability to effectively manage competing requirements and work with varied management styles.
