Hello, we're KLINGER GPI KLINGER GPI has been established through the 2020 acquisition of West Texas based Gasket & Packings, Inc., and the 2023 merger with KLINGER's gasket manufacturing facility located in Houston, Texas. KLINGER GPI is well positioned to provide industrial facilities with a comprehensive range of fluid sealing products and services, through our 4 physical Texas locations. KLINGER GPI manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of fluid sealing and control products; including static and dynamic sealing products, valves, instrumentations, expansion joints and hoses, fasteners, hydraulic bolt tightening equipment and supplementary MRO products. In addition, our accredited in-house and mobile facilities provide tool calibration and equipment repair services to suit any calibration schedule requirements.
What's your day like? As a Business Development Representative at KLINGER GPI, you will immerse yourself in the oil & gas, power, energy, and chemical industries, where your tasks will involve conducting extensive market research to pinpoint potential customers and industry developments. Your days will be filled with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and strategic email campaigns to generate valuable leads. Following up on these leads, you will excel in scheduling meetings and showcasing product demonstrations. By maintaining clear and consistent communication, you will establish and cultivate lasting relationships with potential clients within your designated region.
Additionally, your focus will extend to supporting customers during crucial projects, turnarounds, and routine maintenance, ensuring their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
Requirements for this Business Development Representative job To excel as a Business Development Representative at KLINGER GPI, you must possess a range of essential skills and qualifications. These include a minimum of a High School Diploma, though a Degree in Business or a Certificate in Process Technology is preferred. With at least 5 years of experience as an outside sales or business development representative, you should have a deep understanding of operational maintenance for static fluid sealing applications. Proficiency in marketing and the MS Office Suite, specifically M365, is essential, along with a knack for creative selling and project management. Your strategic planning abilities, coupled with a proven track record of prospecting new clients, will set you apart.
A competitive nature, self-motivation, strong work ethic, organization skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team are also vital. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to continuous learning, and a willingness to travel frequently are all key attributes for success in this role. Additionally, a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are necessary, as well as the ability to pass a background check, as requested by some customers for property access.
