1st Choice is currently searching for a skilled and dynamic Business Development Manager with a focus on the government market sector, particularly the Federal government. The ideal candidate should have a track record of accomplishments in federal business development, along with the necessary expertise to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.Key Responsibilities: Create customer-specific, value-based solutions in line with company pricing strategies, ensuring that client business needs are not only met but also recognized and appreciated.Engage in comprehensive prospecting activities to build and maintain an account pipeline that exceeds the annual territory revenue goal.Maintain an active presence and visibility by participating in industry trade shows and becoming a member of relevant associations.Document, track, and manage all account opportunities and associated performance activities throughout the sales cycle, using standard client management and forecasting tools.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through a sustained communication strategy that establishes the company as a trusted advisor and preferred vendor.Utilize web resources and industry platforms to identify and understand client-specific business needs that align with the company's services and solutions.Respond to and qualify all incoming sales leads within 24 hours, updating the lead status within the Bullhorn tracking system.Assemble and lead inter-departmental teams to optimize positioning and support for current and prospective key client opportunities.Comply with Government client's procurement policies and procedures to expedite the ordering process and contract closure.Develop value propositions with key contacts and decision-makers to enhance positioning throughout the procurement process.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with at least 3 years of experience in Federal sales.Knowledge of federal procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.Demonstrated success in selling services and/or solutions to executive-level contacts in the Federal Government.
